Awarded the highway in Costa Calma (Fuerteventura) for 34 million euros.
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Sept. 20 .- The Minister of Public Works and Transport of the Government of the Canary Islands, Juan Ramon Hernandez, has signed the final award of the contract for the execution of the works of the highway Costa Calma - Pecenescal on the island Fuerteventura, for a distance of 34 million euros.
The contract,, fallen earth power leveling, according to the Government of the Canary Islands in a statement, has been awarded to the joint venture formed by Obrascon Huarte Lain, SA - Construction and Transport SA Ramirez Rodriguez Pablo de Leon SL, with a budget of 34,275,137 euros (excluding IGIC ), and execution within 36 months.
The new route, along with the others that constitute the North -, mortal gold, South axis of the island of Fuerteventura, is intended to form the corridor Corralejo - Morro Jable by way of high capacity.
The project is part of the Collaboration Agreement on Road signed between the Government of the Canary Islands and the Ministry of Development.
The highway Costa Calma - Pecenescal will have an approximate length of 14.3 kilometers, and, gaia gold, has been designed for a design speed of 80 km / hour.
The new section will have a dual carriageway section of seven meters each, with two lanes in each direction, 2.50 m wide outside, inside of a meter, and variable median of four to six feet.
The layout of the new highway through the town of Pajara, beginning about three kilometers before the current intersection of VF-2 VF-605, which gives access to the wall.
The start (in a North - South), will coincide with the end of the "slow lane" made in the area.
